About This Product: Tioga Fastr Black Label Tire-Folding

The Tioga Fastr Black Label Tire-Folding at J&R Bicycles takes the casing used in S-Spec tires and gives it an upgrade with AvntGuard for added protection. This bead-to-bead membrane guards against abrasion and punctures while keeping the tire nice and supple. A PnueMax coating on the inside allows for pressure up to 110PSI. A smooth central tread keeps things moving fast on the straights and Tioga's patent pending Grip-Pod system gives you max control in the corners without slowing you down.

Highlight:

  • CYLEX 120 TPI Ultralight Casing
  • PneuMax 110 PSI High-Pressure Coating
  • AvntGUARD Cut Protection Layer
  • UTC Rubber Compound
  • Folding Bead
  • 20x1.75 (O.D. 507mm): 335g 12.17oz

Features:

  • GRIP-PODS (PATENT PENDING): Pressure-sensitive traction system featuring sticky bristle knobs encased within a recess enabling an ultra-low tread profile with traction coming alive through applied force. GRIP-PODS activate automatically with natural riding motion for on-demand traction with minimal disruption to forward momentum.
  • ULTRA-LOW PROFILE TREAD: Smooth tread profile = minimum rolling resistance = quicker top speed. Tried and true, no design is more efficient at maintaining velocity than a smooth tread.

Need Some help Choosing tires?

Understanding tire sizing conventions, such as diameter, width, and ISO (International Organization for Standardization), will help you to make the best decision when purchasing BMX tires. Different BMX disciplines, such as racing, street, and park riding, often require specific tire sizes. Racing bikes generally use narrower tires for increased speed, while street and park riders often opt for wider tires for enhanced stability and grip.

Several factors influence the selection of BMX tires, and considering these elements will help you find the perfect match for your riding style and needs.
